Attorney Jerroid Parker was honored for outstanding service in New York City and the community at the New York Families for Autistic Children’s Awards Ceremony with a Proclamation from the New York City Council where he received a Citation of Honor from the Office of the Borough President of Queens County; a Proclamation from the U.S. House of Representatives, signed by Congress; and a Congressional Achievement Award (in recognition of his outstanding and invaluable service to the community) from the U.S. House of Representatives, signed by Congressman Gregory W. Meeks. Mr. Parker also received a Citation from the New York State Assembly, signed by Assemblywomen Audrey I. Pheffer, and a Proclamation from the New York State Senate, signed by State Senator Serphin R. Maltese, for his outstanding service to the community.

Biography

Michael John Tario is thought of by many as being one of Washington State’s most experienced and successful trial lawyers. He has been practicing law for 40 years and has the respect of his peers and the industry as exemplified by his many awards and high ratings.

Through most of his career, Mr. Tario practiced plaintiff personal injury and criminal defense but re-focused on plaintiff personal injury in 2006.

During his career, Mr. Tario has successfully represented over 2,000 clients. He has negotiated well over 2,500 favorable out-of-court settlements, but where settlement was not possible, he has taken hundreds of cases to trial; fighting hard to protect the rights and interests of his clients. Biography

Max Van Orden graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1992. He received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1995, passed the Maryland Bar in December of that same year, and has been practicing law exclusively in the state of Maryland ever since. Mr. Van Orden regularly represents individual clients before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland, the Social Security Administration, the Workers’ Compensation Commission, and the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland. Currently, Mr. Van Orden is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR).

Mr. Van Orden was born and raised in New York State. He moved to Maryland in 1989, and has lived and worked there ever since. Before embarking on his legal career, Max Van Orden served for four years as a military intelligence analyst in the United States Army, including an 18-month tour in the Republic of (South) Korea. From 1989, until he retired in 2008, he served in the United States Army Reserves, first as a strategic intelligence analyst and later, after receiving his commission in 2001, as an officer in the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps.

Biography

Attorney Susan H. Witting has been practicing law in Ventura County since 1983 and has dedicated her practice to all aspects of Family Law. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

Miss. Witting has also devoted much time and effort to educating and assisting people learn about their legal rights: she taught re-entry women about various areas of the law at the community college level as a community college instructor; she has given numerous lectures and seminars to clubs and organizations; and has volunteered much time in past years to educating men and women on their rights in the area of family law by organizing and moderating free Family Law Forums throughout Ventura County.

Ms. Witting has also devoted much volunteer effort to many civic and service organizations such as the Conejo Youth Employment Service, dedicated to assisting youth to become employed.
