Matthew grew up in the Cincinnati area and graduated on a full scholarship from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, located at Kings Point, New York. Prior to entering law practice, Matthew served as a merchant officer aboard U.S.-flagged, unlimited tonnage, commercial cargo ships operating in international trade routes.  Having attained a wealth of regulatory experience in this capacity, and with the law as a calling, Matthew earned his law license.  Once in private practice, Matthew quickly found success in a wide range of cases and disputes, routinely involving high-stakes, contested litigation.  Matthew now litigates on behalf of countless individuals, families and legal entities across Southeast Indiana and Northern Kentucky.

Outside of law practice, Matthew spends time with his family, enjoys sports and stays current with regional, national and global affairs.
